Preachings are villifying unrelentingly of the phot. Lubricant had very frustratingly brought over. If you're either one of these, or just genuinely curious, you might. There are a few out there, like myself, who either hate their ingame crosshairs, don't have one, or have 'Where the hell is my crosshair?' There are also others who enjoy editing their game and making it feel more like their own. BEST EDIT: Fixed this, works for me with 1.2.4-rc1-8-gb115a29 (Snapshot) of This looks very similar to which i'm pretty sure chickenNwaffles got his from him.~~ Going to test it out to see if it works, if it works then I guess you did better than him. You do not need to be connected to a Mumble server.Mumble needs to be running for this to work. You need to be playing in your monitor's native resolution or the game will freak out.You probably need the latest version of Mumble.
Enough talk, you can download the.7z file here: So if you do not use 1920x1080 you might need to edit the crosshairs. The same green dot crosshair can be seen in a lower resolution. The crosshairs do scale with screen resolution. Overlays must be enabled in mumble for this to work, so I provided a mumble overlay which does not include the default friends list which you can use if you prefer not to have one. The album also shows the different overlay options, friends list scaled large, friends list scaled small, and no friends list. This shows the mumble cross hair (small green dot) between my blue CS crosshair to show it is centered in the screen. I created a hybrid of solutions provided by Boulop, Mstarr and ChickenNWaffles in order to meet my needs. I wanted a custom crosshair/reticle and using a mumble overlay sounded more appealing to me than running an overlay program combined with Tribes in windowed mode. You can either show, hide or change the crosshair by using the INSERT key (Inser?) The center of the image will go to the center of the screen It works in Fullscreen, Windowed, Borderless mode Crosshairs' file names must be xhair1.png, xhair2.png, xhair3.png, etc.ĥ- Modify crosshairs count by editing "config_ol.ini" and changing the figure after "XHAIR_COUNT=" (1-9)Ħ- Launch mumble, enable the overlay if it's not done yet, play the game Crosshair's file name must be crosshair.pngĥ- Launch mumble, enable the overlay if it's not done yet, play the gameĤ- Put the crosshairs you want to use and "config_ol.ini" in the same folder as the game executable ("TribesAscend.exe" for example). At the moment there is only one way to switch the crosshairs which may be annoying when using a lot of crosshairs so I might change that after the first feedbacks.)ġ- Go to your mumble folder (where "mumble.exe" is)Ģ- Rename original "mumble_ol.dll" if you don't want to erase it (mumble_ol-backup.dll for example)ģ- Copy the "mumble_ol.dll" you just downloaded to the mumble folderĤ- Put the crosshair you want to use in the same folder as the game executable ("TribesAscend.exe" for example). (Regular version -> up to 9 crosshairs, timer. Nothing confirmed at the moment so use it at your own risk. It's kinda unfair and this needs some change anyway. So my question is: Are we allowed to use an overlay of this kind (drawing a simple crosshair) ? It doesn't interact with the game more than the original overlay does. Still, AHK overlays don't work in fullscreen mode/consume "a lot" of resource and this is real problem in my opinion.īasically the modification is just the creation of a new texture (the crosshair) and that's it. I read : (3.f, 3.h) and the fact is that mumble's overlay is allowed and AHK overlays are allowed. I just came here to ask hi-rez about the use of a slightly modified overlay (mumble).
